You beat me to it Rab !!!
Owen's taxi service is definitely the best way to transfer, LPA - accom - LPA.
The driver is waiting at arrivals, no matter how long you have been delayed. He immediately insits on handling all your luggage while you make youself comfortable in the top of the range car. 20 mins later you are at your accommodation....hassle free way to travel !!!!!
The return journey is just the same, driver arrives about 15 mins prior to the arranged time, loads your luggage and 20 mins later, you are at the airport....again, hassle free.
I would not travel any other way....and another plus....Owen's taxi's are cheaper than the airport taxis !!!:thumb:

After a long day's travelling this is the very best transfer you could wish for. The driver was there waiting for us & it was such a comfortable journey down to PDI. Excellent service Highly recommended.

I'm sure he would but I don't have my exact flight times yet. Over the last couple of years they've changed by up to 3 hours and can change up to a fortnigt before departure date. I'll probably wait 'til I get the tickets. Thanks anyway.

24 hours notice is needed, but as you say fatfred, when you get your tickets will be time enough. I just booked on Monday, to be picked up next Monday......Super service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just back from PR :sadguy: but couldn't agree more about the Taxi service. Sure it's a few Euros more than you'd pay from a taxi rank but it's there waiting for you, no queueing, If there are minor glitches (I had one last time) you have numbers to call and they are speedily and courteously dealt with.
Just think you can go with all of the other sheep onto a hot and crowded bus ("no Senor the air-con cannot be turned on until we are moving") seated behind young Declan who is trying to see if he can beat a world record for the loudest and longest bout of crying! It then has to wait for the last couple to get on who's bagage was last off the carousel to be then driven around every hotel in the resort (whilst being given the SAME talk in exactly the same manner by some daft rep) until hours later you come to your hotel (always the last isn't it?). But cheer up, you'll be first to be picked up on the way back - yes a 5.30 a.m. pick up for a noon flight!
Alternatively you can get off the plane straight into a waiting Taxi be whisked off straight to your hotel with no fuss or delay -same on the return journey.
Seems a 'no brainer' to me.

Have to agree with owens taxi being the best to use. We have used the service several times, and now wont use any other service. Also have to say, it is a fair bit cheaper than a taxi from the rank. :thumb:

On Gran Canaria I think we're cheaper than the street taxi.
Thanks again for all the fantastic comments by the way.

Definately cheaper than a street taxi. The car that picked us up from the Morasol this time was one with a meter which was running all the way to the airport and ended up at 44euros which would make an 88 euro journey rather than Owens 80 euro price

Hi all
I have filled out Owens on line booking form on the 2nd August but have not had any confirmation email. Is this normal ?
What sort of time delay is usual, has anybody else had any problems using this service?
Thanks Chris

Hi - you should have received a response by now. If in doubt I would complete it again and also send an email to info@islascanariastours.com (info@islascanariastours.com).
They also have a phone number which is from the UK on - 0871 733 3137
(calls charged at 8.5p any time of day)

Private services with more than 24 hours notice are confirmed instantly, as are shared transfers on Tenerife.
Shuttle services for Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are confirmed to you by us 7 days prior to travel.
When you made the booking, the last page that came up after you hit "submit" was an info page explaining this.
To clarify, we can't confirm availability of your shuttle until Monday 14th August.

If a shuttle service is in there too then as per the info, confirmation is 7 days before arrival - email me at info@canaryforum.com with the name on the reservation and I'll see if I can get it confirmed sooner.
Apologies to Karen again (done also via email). Shortie, what was your name on the booking - if I haven't sorted that out with you already via email I'll do it when I hear from you.
For all - our system has changed now since June and every confirmed booking gets a voucher and a copy goes to the garage so nobody gets forgotton about and anyone arriving with a voucher will always get their transfer. For departure now, everyone calls our office 2 days before departure to make sure we have the right details and a pick-up time that suites you so that cuts out any confusion for departure also, as was the case with Karen.

We've used Owen's service two years running (soon to be three) and have never had any problems...
Less than ten minutes after leaving baggage claim, we have been on our way to PR. Return trip has always arrived exactly on time.

This is the last time I resolve a problem with a future booking posted on the forum - if anyone has a problem like that to sort with us, please let me know at info@canaryforum.com or on skype islascanariastours or on the online live help on the contact page or by phone.
If I see a comment that someone isn't getting a confirmation or voucher or answer, I can only presume they don't have the procedures on what to do at the airport and we will cancel the booking or request made to avoid the staff hanging around for people who don't turn up.
ljg1984 (http://www.canaryforum.com/forums/member.php?u=476) - I have sent your confirmation a second time this morning at around 11:30am to your email that has 1550 in it and again just now to that email and the email address used to register for the forum.
Please let me know via email you got it OK for the booking to go ahead.
Unfortunately a lot of email companies nowadays have strict or incorrect spam settings and sometimes an email might not get through. We have so many different contact options so people can get in touch different ways other than email in case that happens.
