Hi
I have been to Puerto Rico in February for the last 7 years and on all but one occassion the Aquapark has been in a state of refurbishment (ie. either closed or not all rides/pools available).
Can anyone tell me how it looks this year please? The kids love it and we travel out on Feb 20th....
Thanks in advance

hi
have you tried the one in maspalomis?if you go down to the hut next to the golf you can book it there and a bus will pick you up from ur apartments and take you there and you get to walk straight in as well and the bus will pick you back up about 4.45 to bring you home we went and had a brilliant day

The maspalomas one is much bigger and a similar price to the one in pr. My son (10 year old world authority on these type of things)says pr is ok for a day but maspalomas is better and there is so much, that one visit isnt enough.
Personally, I think you have to return to the Maspalomas one because you dont get to do so much as the queues are so long. Much less waiting around in PR

Thanks for the info & replies everyone - glad to hear it looks like it will be open. I have never tried the Maspalomas Park but I may make a trip out there this time.

The Maspolomas park is great and easy to get to, but I dont know why, it just seems less of a trawl going to the PR park. Water Bl**dy cold in winter though!!

was there a few months back and it wasnt to good, lots of repairs and building, there was only 7 rings in the park for all to use on the rides, but it does look like its going to be nice, with night shows etc lights

Heard yesterday that the PR waterpark has closed down due to not obtaining planning permission for the refurbishments. Anybody else heard this or is it a "PR Rumour".

Just back from P.R this morning.

The water park is now closed from 31/01/06 for 2 months due to refurbishment.
Lots of things are still going on but there is a sign up at the pay point stating that it will be 2 months yet before opening time.

Hope this helps anyone intending going soon.

Thanks for the update - better to disappoint the kids now than when we arrive in PR... as I said at the start of the thread - been going for 7 years and its always in a state of repair/refurb/whatever!!!

Work has hotted up this week in the PR waterpark, so it may be opening in time for the summer season.

I'll keep you all posted from my prime vantage point. It'll be nice to overlook the twinkling water in the pools

Does anyone know of a direct link to the website for the PR waterpark? Will it be open in December?

Dont think they have a website but its certainly up and running now. This thread is a little old - 2006.
Our son has one of his end of year school trips there in a few weeks
