Hi I found this review, sounds great to me:banana:

Board Basis: Self Catering Date of Holiday: Oct 2006 Tour Operator: Airtours Submitted By: Overall Rating: 10/10 Comments: Myself and my husband have just arrived back. I looked at all the reviews and can't believe people feel as strong as us about Palmera Mar apartments and Amadores. We arrived 05.30 in the morning but our first impressions of the apartment is it was so clean. Even though the cooking facilities were minimal, but who wants to cook when they go on holiday!

It had the essential, a fridge to cool the beer! We could see the beach from the very large balcony but didn't really appreciate the view until daylight and what a view. It was stunning! To wake up to that every morning was a dream. The rooms were cleaned nearly everyday and fresh towels. We only use the pool once, as we like going out and about. But when we did it was relaxing and very clean. Apartments for people who like to be out and about. Walking to the beach takes approx 10 mins. You will definitely need the easy situated taxi service by the beach to return to apartments. We walked up the hill once and vowed never to do it again but the taxi services is very reliable and cheap.

We managed to get to Anfirdesmar beach which is stunning, Puerto Mogan 10Euros by taxi or cheaper by bus, Puerto Rico which is very lively, Palminos Park and had a lovely day, camel riding in Maspalomas and many others , as well as eating out every day and night. We couldn't believe how cheap it was. We would definitely recommend these apartments as we were both surprised as it stated they were only 2 star. Definitely go again.

DONT FORGET TO CHECK OUT MA BAKERS PASTY SHOP:grin:Puerto Rico (next to new Oscars ).............

The public bus service around the island is very good and also reliable. Several buses leave from the airport terminal building and others stop on the motorway adjacent to the airport. look on the home pages of this site for further information. Here's the bus service website that shows the bus routes and where they stop. www.globalsu.net/es/horarios2.htm (http://www.globalsu.net/es/horarios2.htm)

stayed here, loved it. Best apartments we have stayed in by a long chalk.

Beautiful views, large balconies, spotlessly clean, fantastic pool area with outdoor jacuzzi, Europa centre is about 5 mins walk away, taxi rank is about 2 mins away.

Absolutely superb complex, cant recommend it enough.

Weather very pleasant in April. As already stated, the bus service around the island is very good. Local Bus service within Puerto Rico also very good. (90 cent irrespective of journey length) Have a great holiday.

If using the bus service from the airport to PR you will need to get the No 91 which is the direct bus from Las Palmas. It stops on the main motorway not in the airport itself. This stop is reached by an underpass under the motorway. Fare approx 3 euros.
