loro park in puerto de la cruz is a brilliant zoo with great dolphin and seal shows.
also has gorillas and a white tiger.

From the south, get a boat to go dolphin and whale searching. Dolphins are 50/50 chance to find but pilot whales (also the dolphin family) are pretty much guaranteed.
