Look at Owens site. The marina suites or Morasol would be great for you. Porto Novo would also be good. All three are in the Puerto Base area on the flat. Walking distance of the beach and the commertial Centre.

This is the only site you need I stay at the Cascada
I have walking problems so this is ideal for me on the flat near the beach I can recommend it

Thanks will check them out. Somebody told me cascada are on the flat but you can only access them at the top of the apartments and have to walk and not at bottom on the flat - is this true?

hi cmob
yes access to the cascada are from the rear of the front block so from beach level you have a few steps to encounter from a bridge that crosses over the road or an incline which is not all that steep but which may be for someone 6 months pregnant.
libbyos reccomendations are ideal plus the vistamar directly across from the beach or el greco apts more or less next door

The Roadbridge for Cascada is a bit rickety. I hate using it. But it is near the beach etc.

If you have a large party, perhaps a villa is another alternative.
Here is one that might be okay for you.

Once you have found an apartment don’t forget transfers once again Owen does it best, have used his service for a few years cheaper and a lot less hassle than Taxis.

Thanks so much for all help - managed to book 1 in portonovo and 1 in cascada. Just for info - thomson holidays site doesn't allow online booking to anyone not UK resident (I'm in Dublin). I phoned them and they were v. happy to book over the phone!!!!
