Hi,

We're coming to PR again next week, can anyone tell me if there's any takeaway places around the commercial centre? I know there's a few restauraunts that do takeaway stuff, but I just mean takeaway counters with no seating areas that do maybe pizza's or kebabs (not McDonalds). I seem to remember seeing one on the first floor on the left hand side?:grouphug:

Famous Harrys - sort of near Covent garden- kebabs, pizzas, fish and chips etc etc
Netto - opposite Mc Donalds - do cooked chickens
Beside the Spar on the beach in PR you can buy cooked chickens and potatoes and salad

Thanks Mary, Is Harry's round the corner from the Black & white piano bar? Sorry, I'm not sure where Covent Garden is.

I'm looking forward to it already! Don't get me wrong, we do eat in restaurants most of the time but it's just nice to get a 'normal' takeaway and eat it back at the apartment on the terrace with a beer for a change, instead of having to get ready to 'go out' every night. As we stay 5 mins walk away from the commercial centre, Harry's will be ideal.

Hi Redswanlady,

I was reading about your forthcoming Cornish Pasty shop opening - Will you be open during the last 2 weeks of August? It would be a shame not to be able to sample your pastys before we come home!!

There are two takeaways side by side upstairs in the cc beside covent garden and piccadillys.

Both are good and are open as long as the bars are.

Hi Frieda

No, unfortunatly we won't be open by then. Canarian speed is somewhat slower than in the UK so things take longer. All good things come to those who wait!
Next time you are here you can pop in for one.

Hi Redswanlady,

That's a shame that we'll miss your opening this visit, but we'll definately try your pasties out next time we're over as we usually come over 2 or 3 times a year (we have to get away from the rain in York you see!). Due to come out again in January for our wedding anniversary, so see you then.

All the best for your new venture, I'm sure it'll go down a storm!!
