I found on a website mention of "Cenobio de Valeron" - a group of caves enclosed by petrified lava at Guia and "Balneario de los Berrazales"- thermal springs at Agaete.

Has anybody been to these 2 attractions?

Are they worh visiting?

Are they easy to find (directions would be very helpfull).

I first went to Gran Canaria about 5 years ago and used this website to find places to visit. On of the many places Owen suggested was Furgas. It was great there. When I mentioned to our holiday rep back at the hotel about Furgas he had not heard of it. Thanks Owen. Are there any other places (maybe off the beaten track) which are worth visiting which not many other people may know about?

Guayadeque valley. There is a museum or exhibition place there that explains everything
Artenara
Fortuleza - very wiggly drive but fantastic views - this is the last stand of the Guanches (people indigenous to the island)

GUAyadeque is lovley. The drive to it is Ok for the faint hearted as well. No cliff edge roads at all. There is a nice restaurant in a cave as well when you get there. A meeting point fot locals at weekends in big family groups.

I have some photographs taken here in November. It was beautiful even though it was raining and there were a group of people singing "in the rain". Had nice food in the cave as well.
