Just back from PR  but had a great time despite indifferent weather :D
Our favourite resturant deserves a mention to all of you lucky enough to be going to PR :thumb:
The Restaurant has been mentioned several times in other threads but I beleive deserves special mention (a) because it is busy (b) because of the quality of food and value for money (c) because of the high proportion of repeat trade and (d) because the newcomers to PR don't know where to go and get induced into some indifferent places by the 'lookie lookie' boys.
Las Vegas is in my opinion (a former Publican and Caterer) the best value (NOT the cheapest) food that I have eaten in my visits to PR. A huge mixed kebab meal (more meat than most can eat) for €9 (about £6) steaks/seafood for the same price. Service is quick and with a smile.
Avoid the peak times 7.30 to 9.00 if you don't want to queue or wait.
Las Vegas is in the commercial centre about half way up on the left hand side, second floor more or less behind Black and White.
Enjoy!

usually have to queue at the las vegas but the meals are big.
you do not need to eat until the next night.
plus do not leave room for a few beers.

never tried it but it will even thou there has been bad reports in the past from people , the only thing i worry is that as i have not got a huge appetite , just seems a waste of food for someone like me i am sure others are the same
do they do small portions at all , not kiddies ones but smaller ones for us people who dont have huge appetites

Hi
We go there a lot when we are over.
Just ask and they will do whatever portion you want. I also am not a large eater and hate to see waste.

Las Vegas is without doubt the biggest steak meal available in the centre and of an excellent quality too. Prices are very reasonable too. Never had to send one meal back or wasted one either, the proof is in the pudding just try the place on you're next visit over !!!!!!!

Well....I've got a whole different opinion of Las Vegas now. We went in on Tuesday 17th Jan looking for nice juicy tender meat ( which we always got on previous visits ) only to be served up burnt offerings.
I had the mixed meat kebab. This was frazzled when it came. When I cut into the meat, it was light brown, far too well done !!!!!
Mrs KT had the fillet of sole, which was dry, again over cooked.
When I complained, the waiter seemed offended and didn't offer any other alternative, so I just told him to bring the bill. We finished our wine, squared the bill and left.....never to return....due to their attitude more than lack of quality. I have the attitude, give the restaurant a second chance, because everyone has an off day sometime....this was total disrespect for the customer....so we won't be returning to Las Vegas Steakhouse.
Balcon Canarios benefited from this incident, but that is another story.
When I get time !!!!

"Las Vegas" in the CC top floor, on the left as you look uo the valley (About 25 yards past Harleys). Used to do fantastic meals....The leg of lamb was something to die for. Huge portions and very reasonably priced too. Is it still going?? We are out there on 11th Feb. Balcon Canaria is great too.

Good. Nice to know that the Las Vegas is still going and reasonably busy too. In spite of it being generally quiet. We have used the Las Vegas for the last 6-7 years and have never had cause to either send a meal back or any complaint of any sort. Same goes for Balcon Canario. Excellent value in both establishments too.
Back out there Oct 12th. Hope that the island is ready for us !! Look out Puerto Calma !! If anyone wants a superb, special meal, lovely surroundings, no hassle at all, try the resturaunt in Puerto Calma. Open to the public, just phone or pop in to book a table and spoil yourself. I have no connection with the place but have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and the excellent service there. Michelin chef !!!!
Bon Appetito.........

Was in there last night, same great food and service and the prices for the food are good but like a few other places drinks can seem expensive.
