Magners

A load of us is coming over to puerto rico in 5 weeks time and my son happened to mention this morning that he will be drinking Magners while we are away, I know this has been mentioned in the forum before but I cant find it so I will have to ask the question again, does anyone know what bars sell this drink, I seem to remember that not all the bars stock it.

We are staying at the top by the Europe but we will be going down to the commercial centre as well.

Pickwicks sell Magners and you will not find a friendlier place to drink and make new friends. Upstairs in the Europa, round the back facing the Ocean.

Thanks for that clare, will deninatley be going there as from whats been said on the forum it sounds really good I think after holidaying in peurto rico for the last 9 years or so and generally keeping ourselves to ourselves I think its about time we broadened our outlook and start to make some friends.

You could also try M & M's round at the front of the C.C, top floor of the commercial centre.
It is along from the taxi rank near the waterpark end.
I think they have it tap but definately bottles. Very cheap bar with Bud €1, Miller €1, Smirnoff Ice €1.80. etc...

hi ya most of the irish bars in the comercial centre sell magners in bottles and draught ,but why not try flanagans apple down on the harbour they sell it on draught mmmmmm nice big pints wit ice and good craic wit friendly atmosphere :have-fun:

We got a bunch in this week drinking pints of Magners/TiaMaria&Coke... nice, so it is.... What's your others, Baz?

Only one way to drink Magners as it is very well promoted with it's very successful advertising campaign is over ice!! But a true cider drinker will always favour the tried and trusted STRONGBOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all
After listening to my son and having read all of the reviews on Magners I have just spent a few hours in my local trying out a few glasses (actually pints because thats how much was in a bottle) and can honestly say I did enjoy it.

No fancy cocktails though so will be off to PR on the 14th August and will have to try a few then, hope I will be a good girl, if I am not then it will be all the fault of Big Baz and co (only joking) will just give my usual drink of lager or vodka and coke/fanta lemon a miss for a bit.

I like it over ice as it shows on the adverts. A most refreshing cider with a good balance between sweet and dry.

Since reading about Magners on here, I've noticed it everywhere. Molly malones does it -opposite Churchils and in the Netto there is a big chiller cabinet devoted to it

Fair comment on the Magners advertising campaign, they've done a great job on promoting Bulmers original re-launched as Magners. This cider has been around for years, and promoting it served over ice is a stroke of Genius !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

drank magners on draft........wait for it 6 euros a pint hic!! hic!!! but a grand wee break for diane and myself . but not a patch on puerto rico.

Staying at City Inn tonight and Holiday Inn with friends tomorrow night as we are all going to The Ho Wong for dinner then on to The Horse Shoe Bar for a session, where no doubt some will be on 'The Magners' formerly Bulmers. lol. Me....I'll be on the 'Tennents' how could I possibly drink anything else. lol.

Cardiff brewers Brains are to sell a new Welsh cider in it's 200 pubs across S. Wales. Orchard Gold made by the Welsh cider and perry company Gwynt Y Ddraig located in Llantwit Fadre will soon be available. Let's hope it becomes as popular as Magners, who knows it might reach the Canaries !!!!!!!!

Even had it in international peking restaurant in cc( 4.00 a bottle)

Oh great news! Not heard that yet, the rep told us there was a problem at the factory which meant no deliveries for at least a month(that was about 2 weeks ago) he's due in today, so will find out more.

Oh dear, bad news right enough... no Magners being delivered on draught for at least 4wks(here that could mean 4 yrs!!!) Saw millions of bottles being delivered in the centre yesterday, no problem in bottles. There is still a bit available around on draught, a few stashed barrels here and there!. The importer still has the contract for it so should get sorted eventually, lets hope sooner than later.....
no Buckie here and now no Magners draught .:sad: ..... sad state of affairs.............. where's the Morgan's!
