hi folks
having spent a week in costa caleta recently and not much imfo to date in this section i have taken a few photos and hopefully can pass a little info through them.
sadly a week is not enough time for the amount of activities available here the atlantico shopping centre sits on the outskirts beside the elba sara hotel. this shopping complex is built to suit both the young and old.
a multi cinema complex is based in here think there were 5 choices also a ten pin bowling alley plus a burger king, for macdonald eaters that sits across the road.
wish i could have spent more time in the town centre as it was absolutely stunning with numerous little squares housing shops and bars there is a market here on a saturday we felt it was geared to much to a morroccan trend.
golf course speaks for itself and it is more all less on the flat buggy cars are available for the less mobile as it is a long course.
being a scot we found a great little bar showing all scottish games called the flower of scotland. also for a heavier night the hard rock was well worth a visit.
restaraunts well to many to mention but one that did stick out was the chinguito la isla as the name says it sits on a small island across from the new sheraton with a walkway out to it first reaction when we saw it was wow that will be dear for a meal it was fantastic and very competively priced well done folks. http://cheryl9125.fotopic.net/c823436.html

cheers Rab as the atlantico wasnt built last time i was there it good to see what its like , as for the Flower of Scotland i didnt go in it spendingmost of my time in the Red Lion but opposite if i am correct there are some brilliant restaraunts , more in kkeeping with say Las Vegas and the size of the portions and also undernath the flower was the only club/bar i have been into that seemed to think it funny to be lite just by uv lights and have black tables and chairs in it , the bar staff wet themselves when 50% of clientele walked into the first table after not being able to adjust there sight intime , me i just followed others in

Did this resort used to be called CALETA DE FUSTE?
We visited here about 12 years ago and it looks so different now. It was very very quiet back then, there was no shopping centre or cabaret or restaurants in the sea! It looks great now - might have to look into visiting again!

YEP was called Caltea de Fuste , think they decided to change the name when they changed Neuvo Horitzonte to Costa Antigua , as the old name was getting VERY VERY bad press

Just a tip for people wanting nightlife...well there isn't much in Caleta...although i manage to be in a state most nights, if you do go i'd suggest piero's and top bar....as for night clubs...we found one...it was dead but hey i only paid £80 for 5 days so i can't complain

ill second that daneb caleta is better for families than a group of lads or girls looking for great nightlife we went there before the kids and had to listen to childrens karoke most nights, would suit us better now weve three kids .while there we flew to GC for 5 days out of our 2week holiday to visit husbands sister.had some nice restaurants when we visited, though out islands we perfer GC.
