Could any one please confirm that the reception for the Lara is at Nido del Aguila. If we get a taxi from the airport would it be best to get off at the lara and leave the wife and luggage while i collect the keys or do we both have to arrive at th Nido del Aguila and the drag our luggage to the Lara? Thanks for any help.

I would suggest you use Owens transfer service cheaper than taxis and a lot less messing, I can recommend it I have used it for a few years and never any bother.

Hi there,
i would go to the reception, it isn't too bad walking round to the lara, and you can sort out you safety box's etc in one go.
when i stayed at the Lara the reception, was closed and my key was left at the lttle restaurant there. i know it closes a fair bit in the day so on't panic, go through the side gate and ino the restaurant, they will help you out and a beer into the bargain, no that can't be bad.
Enyoy the Lara, we found them more than good enough.

Hi I have stayed in there sister apartments The Nido Del Aquila, you have to cut through the Lara to get to Europa. They are quiet and small mostly non english speaking visitors. Picasso resturant is in their ground and it is a great location, not far to crawl after a night out.

hi oor wullie
think you have to hire the kettles in the lara which can be hired at reception if things are still the same they were renovated in 2003 and very very handy for the europa and taxi rank more or less opposite.

:thumb: Apartments Lara
Room
The room was basic but this is only a two key apartment so it’s to be expected it was clean and had a pay TV and toaster, a kettle and a two hob cooker in the kitchen/living room. Two single bed in the bedroom and a sofa-bed in the kitchen/living room. The only real problems were no air con and we also had cockroaches coming out of the kitchen sink at night but they were only small so no big deal.
Pool
I didn’t use the Lara’s pool but it looked clean and was quite big and you can also use the two other pools at the Nido side of the complex.
Location
The location of the Lara is great just next to the Europa Centre and taxi rank and only a few euros taxi ride to either beach and the Commercial centre.
Amadoraes Beach
A great beach good for catch the rays and the colour of the water was something else so clear and calm. Plus a good selection of restaurants, bar and shops are next to the beach.
Europa Centre
Just across the road from the Lara and great fun day or night lots to do and plenty of good restaurants, bar and shops.
Conclusion
A fantastic holiday and the only thing that would of made it better is air conditioning at the apartments. I would stay again if on a budget but next time will look for somewhere with air con in the same area of Puerto Rico.

Yes they have a kettle, a toaster and cooking rings. These are excellent apartments very close to the Europa centre. Rooms cleaned almost every day and the pool area is spotless.Excellent 2 star value. The reception is at the Nido Del Aguila so collect your keys from there. Top floor rooms have a small balcony , ground floor small garden.

ive just come back from puerto rico with 3 friends and we stayed in the lara. i can honestly say the place was nice, basic but had everything you needed the only problem we found was that the managment seemed to have a bad attitude towards us, maybe because we was the younger residents staying but it wasnt as though we was desruptive and we was made to feel uncomfortable apart form that the place is spot on. loved puerto rico that much we're going back next saturday and living out there, will be working at the top in a bar called turbo if anyone knows it, if not you should ita a fab bar!! so pay a visit !!

Hi
stayed at the Nido and Lara many times, both are good, you can use pools and facilities at the Nido when staying a the Lara, when we were there last Lara was closed as they were re-furbishing it, so should all be nice and new!
Cleaned regularly and towels changed, only don't clean on Sat and Sun i think, staff lovely.

Hi, i stayed at the lara apartments last year in July, they are very basic but clean and nice. It is in to blocks with two story high. The sister apartments are Nido Del Aguila. It has a restuarant on the side of it, reception is at the nido which can be found behind the lara apartments. Next is a jennel, som noise can be heard if very loud people are walking through it. You can see the Europa centre from all apartments - it is bang across the road.
Hope that helps.
:)

Couple of thefts occurred in the Lara apartments last week.
Keep your eyes on your belongings people and always pay for a safe.
