Hi there,
I visited Puerto Rico 7 times as a child with my parents but now im all grown up and am taking my girlfriend to the Montebello apts in may. I previously stayed at the cala nova and remember puerto rico very well, i just thought id ask to see if anyone has some information on this hotel and any pictures would be great as i have only managed to find one on the net.
Many Thanks

basic, clean, well equipped, fab views, great pool bar, great brekkie and snack menu, must say I really enjoyed the montebello.......about 200 steps down to the cc....washing machine and dryer(self service) on grounds....pool table, nice swimming pool...no jacuzzi.........well worth the price charged...a nice allround holiday bet.

Not sure but most places don't have - get a cheap travel iron from argos and take it with you. Alternatively instead of folding your clothes roll them (like a swiss roll) even cotton clothes come out relatively crinkle free at the other end.

Very unlikely in room. They have a laundry room so might be one in there or spin your clothes in the tumble dryer to get rid of creases. If you want to make you suitcase lighter don't pack any toiletries, buy them when you get there.

you could always hang ur clothes up in the bathroom and switch the shower on for 5 minutes - the steam makes the creases fall out!

If you need to hire anything over there ie: Ireons kettle, iron board toasters get yourslef fown to Cristinas the moeny exchange place by the Taxi rank outside Squires Bar and along from Cafe Central, they hire loads of essential holiday things at very reasonable prices.
Some apartments also hire out these items.
I cannot live without my iron on holiday and used to always pack mine with me but I needed the weight in my case for my shoes so the iron had to go and now I hire it over there. The travel irons ar useless. Not enough power in them to iron a bikini.

sorry butty there was no iron or board when i was there last year but some apts are privately owned so you might be lucky if you get one of them they have lots of extras in them but you will have a great time even if your clothes are wrinkled lol malky :boozy: :boozy:

iron?....ironing board?.....not really sure what they are:confused:
are they the things Mrs Trot uses to smooth our clothes? I think she loves them, she spends hours playing with them :)

Hi...ah yes! stayed there during the world cup '98.....Great views...very basic but good..large apts with 'huge' balconies....quite a good pool bar/restaurant...good for brekkie and daytime snacks.....its location however means you have a lot of walking or taxis.....its about 200 steps down to the CC and another 800yds from there to the beach...its on the 'third' level of PR...but you can use the pool lift and then your key for the gate which leaves you on the second level.............the Morasol, Marina Suites or Ipanema Park or indeed the El Greco are all relatively level and by the marina / beach...in deed the Morasol have 'Disabled' rooms....so no steps at all......ENJOY!!!!!!...need any specific info....mail me........when are you going?

depends on wot your after but the cc has more shops and more resturaunts but the europa is just the same a little less shops but when your there go and have a nosey round, cost of taxi to the europa from the cc is only a few euros so enjoy your holiday :packed:

I am heading to Gran Canaria on Sat and even though not staying here I would like to know is Sarah and her dad still working in Montebello Apartments, the last time we went there they were a great laugh and would like to catch up with them again. No doubt they will have forgotten who I am, but nice to call in anyway.
