hi amadores beach apts are a small complex 49 apts just metres from the beach lovely area but very quiet.
beach is the best around lots of small bars and restaraunts but nightlife is very quiet if you are the boisterous type
taxis up to the europa for a few euros or three and a bit to the commercial centre. photos of apts and area here http://rab.c.fotopic.net/c552866.html
have fun

I stayed next door to the Gran Amadores in teh Mirador del Atlantico , but went to have a look round the Gran Amadores they have a very good supermarket and its well stocked , the apartments are on 3 levels i think and in a HALF MOON shape with the pool in the centre and look verty clean and from reviews they all say that they are clean , there is a small bar Scots Corner ???? where they do snacks etc and i think they have a BBQ there weekly , i didnt here anything but scottish voices , as i think it only available throu Seguro and they fly out of scotland only
to get to the beach its a small downhill walk to teh beach takes 3 mins but it can get slippy on the paths
to get to teh centres its the same as Rab said but there are a lot of bars etc on teh beach you will enjoy it

The hill to get to the Europa centre is very steep and you will definately need a taxi . the walk down to the beachisnt steep just gradual but the pavements are the sort of stone that gets very slippy when hot so watch them ,
not sure about the building work the main one is next door to the Gran Amadores but i wouldnt be suprised if it is still going on

hi lyn
building work at the rear of gran amadores is up more or less just internal work now and no dust flying about
the walk back from beach is more or less gradual maybe a little steeper at the last few metres but thats it.
no need to worry you will enjoy and taxis are very cheap any way 1-2 euros from beach to gran amadores but make sure you are covered spanish drivers hate suntan cream on their upholstery lol

There is a longish slope down to the beach area but the beach isnt level with the road. Taxis are cheap and so you may be better getting a taxi to the beach or hiring a motor scooter - no I dont mean a motorbike . www.solmobility.com

Sorry to spoil it but the only accomodation which is suitable (depending on your mobility) are the Morasol and Marina Suites in Puerto Base and the El Greco or Puerto Nova.........the properties overlooking Amadores are all uphill....taxis are cheap but 6 times a day gets expensive....also whilst the beach is Fab, Amadores is a building site.....so beware......

Gran Amadores isnt at the top of the hill though overlooking Amadores - its just a bit back from it - isnt it or am I thinking of somewhere else
And Amadores didnt really feel like a building site when I was there the other day

yup and i have lovely photos of amadores which shows it for the beauty it is taken this may which i have not put on site yet
to be honest there is more building work outside the marina suites and morasol with the work on the bar god knows when that is going to be finished as it has been getting extended ever since the hotels opened than there is at amadores now. have to agree with mary and steve on this one
