I must say that I have been to quite a few restaurants here in the south lately and nothing compares to Acaymo, in my opinion. Been there twice already. The surroundings up there in Mogan valley and the food, the service (or rather servants!) Great! I have not seen it recommended here nor did they know anything about it at the hotel that I am just leaving. I tried the Guata...nemo? (I know it is not spelt like that...) and it was o.k. but not as special as the Acaymo. Just thought I would share it with you in case you did not know of it.

Yes,i know this restaurant very well! As i have said many times, always where possible head out of the shopping centres and into the local towns and villages for a great selection of nice food. This one is listed in the international guide book of restaurants and is almost opposite the Local Police station in Mogan village. In the day time you can sit outside on the terrace(Like a backdrop from tv's "Howards Way" viewers!!)the food is quite superb. But becareful driving on that dangerous road that takes you there.

As someone who stays in PR but visits Mogan a couple of times can you be a little more precise with your directions of how to find this restaurant.
Thanks

After driving down the hill from the east towards Puerto Mogan you will hit a roundabout with a petrol station virtually on it. Instead of bearing left into P. Mogan, turn right up the valley away from the sea. Continue up that road (it's a little narrow and twisty in places) in the direction of Mogan town. About 6 -7 miles up, you'll come across the Acaymo on the right hand side. Take note they are closed on Mondays and on Sunday only open for lunch. Booking in advance is advisable, their local phone number is:- 928 569263.
