You should be fine down in PB.
As a rule the southern end of the island is the hottest/sunniest.
Not good weather for wig wearers at the mo though!

hi
have a look at www.gazettelive.com and there are a list of places there
There is a new Pizza/Pasta restaurant open at Playa La Mulata which is the beach behind Natura Palace Hotel, just before you get to Rubicon Palace Hotel. It is owned by an Italian family and they are open for coffee from 10am every day and do food from 12 midday to midnight. They have a balcony overlooking the prom, the beach and sea. It is absolutely packed every day so he is doing something right.
there is a seafood place newly opened in the same area , also a place called Artisa has been reccomended
1. El Bodegon el Mano
2. La Bocaina
3. La Bahia
all recomended by someone who live there
1. Romantica
2. Balcon de Femes
3. Los Huevederos
Almacen de La Sal . along main sea front wonderful converted salt store, with two floors upstairs is best but you do have to book, there is also a pianist most nights
El Bodegon del mano. below Romantic a bit quirky but well worth a visit, no air and graces only a few tables. But good food different from run of the mill.
The italian place Lartista , by galeria del sol bar. best place for lunch. fantastic view from balcony, really nice staff , exellent food,
need to book for evenings.
Emilios, Femes
Pedros (especially lunch of calamari outside with waves crashing into sea wall!! and a bottle of vina sol!), Romantica, and maybe Marisco - really pleasant family who run it tho haven't been for a while
Fave on the island has to be Bodega at Uga or the second last on the right at Golfo or the one with the big green door at Arrieta.
Casa Roja at the Marina
El Caleton in El Golfo
Playa Blanca has a lot of verygood places , and these are reccomended , in PDC lenaghans is brilliant and i have a copy of the menu if you want me to send it to you
also if you want a Balti after the beers and Footie theres a place called STEVES BALTI HOUSE whcih again highly reccomended and the villages in the centre of the island the tapas are gorgeaou and if you get to Orzola at teh very top the Fish there is out of this world
HOPE THIS HELPS SHOULE BE WELL FED UP AFTER THAT LOT
oh and there is a kfc in playa blanca in the deiland , playa honda
Bodegon Tapas, along the sea front, almost at the end by the harbour. Very good.

http://www.lanzarote.com/lartista/index-in.html this is a very very good one oh and just a word of warning there is a chain of places called LANIS they look very welcoming BUT ARE VERY EXPENSIVE , they have different names but have LANIS on the menus outside , just watch out i know of people who went to one couldnt belive the cost so went next door the day after and again , the cost was huge , all owned by LANI and the food is pretty average , not sure thou if they are in PB yet but they are everywhere else so wouldnt suprise me
