Hello All,

I was wonderng if any of you had stayed at the above opposite the Europa Centre (Next to Sol Y Paz) I think.

We have been to Puert Rico a few times but can ge a really god deal on these - they are advertised at a 1* but we have seen them from outside and they looked ok but obviously haven' been inside!

has anyone been here if so what did you think?

Hi Kirsty,

We stayed there several times, but some years ago now.They were taken over for exclusive use by a Danish company - Danski Fairy Folk - I think??,and refurbished at that time.
They were billed as 2* when Airtours had them. I think that the complex may have changed hands recently
They now appear to be available on the net, so maybe this tie in is no longer in operation, or the Scandis don't use them during the summer.
They comprise of 36 or 38 appartments on two floors. I would advise an upper floor one if you don't have kids, the ground floor appartments have patio doors that open directly onto the garden + pool area and can get a bit noisy with loads of ankle biters running around.
There is a good pool bar, selling light meals, ice creams and snacks. This seems to have a flexible opening policy, depending on who's spending money I guess. They used to do a weekly BBQ too.
Unless the policy has changed, there wasn't a permanent reception, so this may be an issue if you arive in the middle of the night.
It may be worth contacting Owen to see what sort of deal he can get for you - he's always come up trumps for us, and he'll probably know the situation regarding ownership, booking in and collecting keys etc.

they are quite good apartments,recently refurbished,decent pool bar owned by spanish bloke and english wife,good location,bus and taxis outside,and only to cross the road for europa centre.
they are still scandi in winter and brits in summer,the manager is a lovely bloke called "omar". john.
