everyone in the past have been happy with terrazamar apartments and as for traffic noise at the Porto Novo - I would be surprised. The road does go very close to the pool area but the road is very quiet - only the odd car going past.

I've just come back from the Puerto Feliz yesterday.
While the apartments and complex themselves are fine, the problem is the noise coming up from the CC at night. Whether last week was exceptional or not, it was absolutely unbearable.
 We stayed 100 metres away in the Nevada three years ago, and it didn't seem as bad. By Wednesday, I was so sleep deprived that I was snapping at anyone who attempted to entice me into a bar or restaurant (...sorry Eddie... the PR at Scruffy Murphy's...who ignored my attitude...and arranged to get our dinner from Churchills while we watched the Ireland v San Marino match on TV...thanks Eddie)
Most of the noise seems to be coming from Harley's where they definitely yank up their bass machine around 1am. In any other country, the local residents would have the place closed down, long ago. Harley's isn't the only source of noise - most bars on the top floor of the CC are pumping out some volume of sound).
It all stops on the button of 3:30am - so I'm presuming that some type of curfew comes into force.
Don't get me wrong...I'm not a fuddy-duddy, and I enjoy my nights out...but the noise from the CC last week would wake the dead! Why they can't they put up fronts on these premises at night and install air-conditioning..and keep the bulk of the sound inside????)
If I go back again it will be to somewhere definitely not parallel with the CC!
Rant over! I'm feeling better now!

hi irishwhite
ive had relatives stay in the puero feliz and like you agree the loud music from the cc is terrble, as being in their early sixties they didnt really enjoy their holiday no sleep until 3.30 .the apartments are fine but maybe the problem lies with the tour operators as with my relatives they did not warn them of this, maybe they should have advised a quieter area within pr for them.

Hi Irishwhite.
The problem with the noise at night appears to be mainly wth accomodation that lies above the 1st level of stairs from the CC. The lower level you are the quieter the apartments, eg, lufesa suites. The sound appears to travel upwards so, unfortunately, the best thing you can do is to be the 1's making the noise and go out later at night night and home later (earlier) in the morning.
In March this year we go kicked out of at least 5 bars. The only excuse they could give us was ' we have homes to go to go. We get tired as well.'
We considered this to be a feable excuse as it was only 4-30 in the morning and we were there celebrating my 40th. What spoilsports!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don,t rebel against the noise. be the 1's that keeps everybody else awake. After all, if it's not you it will be someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
