Think you will find they are next door to the Portonovo, just before the tunnel.

Jacaranda is situated on the rouque del este next to the corona rosa, slightly lower than aquasol and malibu, but same road. Everlooks puerto base area, but at the top.

Carolina are behind (North West) Commercial Centre, on Los Cordones.
We stayed in Jacaranda Apts a couple of years ago, nice and peaceful, though they have been refurbished since then.
The apts have their own pool, no bar, though you can use Corona Rosa pool and bar which adjoins the apts.
It is quite a walk back from Centre up the steep hills, though we got a taxi most nights. Great views though!

Quiet nights and good views. Id agree with that. Oh and a long walk. Think it is also quite a scandinavian area as well.

thanks a lot for all your help , roughley know the area now , as for being a scandi area doesnt bother me in the slightest as my brother in law is swedish and i was learning a lot of swearwords at my sisters and his wedding 2 months ago , also i get on very well with the former Swedish football captain as he is my BIL best mate so i can talk about him LOL and brag

15 mins to walk up from main Commercial Centre.....remember to take a bottle of water though. We normally walk up during the day but always get a taxi at night....€2 to Jacaranda Apts

the jacaranda apartments are at the top of the hill.
so can anyone tell me why there is a jacaranda sign above what appears to be a reception by the taj palace restaurant in the portonovo complex by the harbour.
confused:ohmy:

Donna,
We stayed in the Jacaranda apartments in PR a couple of years ago and they were comfortable, clean and well looked after, they also have a good sized balcony the apartments have a pool with loungers, plus you can use the pool and restaraunt/bar and mini market in the apartments next door, they are also very quiet as they are right at the top of the hill facing the tunnel and we also had a good view of the harbour, a taxi back up cost a couple of euro's and is well worth it.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did steve

Well I was well impressed with the Jacaranda - the rooms were lovely, think it had just been done up and we had the pool to ourselves most days (most people preferring to go to the Corona Rosa pool). Definately one of the best I have stayed in.
Would definately go back - even walked up (yes up) and all the way up the hill a few times as well!!

anyone got any info on layout of the jacaranda apartments? would like to know which room/floor it would be best to request. any pics would be appreciated, too. have been to pr before but never stayed at the jacaranda . . . or that side of the valley at all.
thanks!

Not got a layout but reception is at the top level with apartments then laid out going downwards down the valley.
At one side of the block you are obviously closer to Corona Rosa, at the other side just cliff side. You look down over the Agua La Perra centre.
