This has always been my favourite restaurant. Ramon and his team will always do everything they can to make your meal special. Kids atre more than welcome, food is spanish and international, T bones and fish are my favourites.

Great Place to have dinner on New Years Eve. Loved it. By 11.15 pm a real party atmosphere with peolpe from around the world. Thanks Ramon and his team. A fab night. Nicely topped with a quick trip to Anfi for the fireworks.

We Love El Gaitero. There are some fine restaraunts i Agua la Perra and I reckon the best food I've found in PR.
El Gaitero is one of the places we save for those nights that we want something a little special as they not only have great food but staff that care and are not too stuffy with it.

went there last week for a meal and after the reviews was looking forward to the visit.
what a let down.
my starter never arrived and my partners arrived 30 seconds before the main course, cold.
the main course was nice except for the frozen veg.
then two men at the next table both lit their pipes whilst their wives smoked a cigarette.
the waiters then brought them an ashtray.
obviously i did not bother with a tip and did not try it again.

El Gaitero is also the name of an excellent Spanish cider. It comes in champagne style bottles with either a gold or silver foil top. I personally favour the gold top as it's a little stronger and more full bodied. Although I have'nt seen it in bars, many supermarkets stock it at about 1.5 euros a bottle.
