Maspalomas - another very international crowd of all ages, families, singles, couples.... all nationalities though Maspalomas is a choice if you're looking for more peace and quiet rather than being able to walk to all the hustle and bustle of the nightlife. Saying that, it's little more than 5 minutes cab ride in Playa del Ingles.
Meloneras - the more exclusive "neighbour" of Maspalomas where the newer, bigger more luxurious hotels are. Generally a middle-aged crowd and around 75% German with 25% a good mix of everyone else.
Playa del Ingles is the largest holiday resort in the Canary Islands and is situated on the southern tip of Gran Canaira. It was also the first area of the island to be developed for tourism in the 1960's.
Mogan was once (not so long ago) a small fishing village and not much more. The small port was developed into a Marina ordered by restaurants, shops, some apartments and a hotel all built in whitewashed stone with multi-coloured woodwork and adorned with buganivlla. The image of the street between these buildings with all those flowers helped make the port area of Mogan famous.
Very popular with families and older couples. Families love it here as the main beach has a very good breakwater making the sea safe to play in for the kids. During the winter months nationalities are split between Scandanavia and the UK but the summer months see the British take over, almost completely!
